The Sabelt Porsche 996 and 997 4 Point Passenger Harness, part number SABCFCI2594, is a clip-in 4-point harness approved to FIA 8854-1998. Shoulder and lap webbing are 2 inch. Aircraft-type buckle. Not HANS compatible.

This is a passenger harness for 996 and 997 Porsches used on track days or in two-driver configurations. The FIA 8854-1998 approval means it meets the older 4-point standard, which is appropriate for a passenger seat harness in most track day contexts. It is not a competition driver harness for series requiring FIA 8853-2016 6-point certification.

The harness geometry and installation are configured specifically for the 996 and 997 passenger seat position and chassis anchor points. A generic saloon 4-point harness does not account for the specific geometry of these cars.

Aircraft buckle. Clip-in installation threads around a bar or cage mount in the 996/997. Not HANS compatible, which is appropriate for passenger use.

For the driver seat in the same cars at Road and Track (non-FIA) approval, the Silver Porsche 996/997 4 Point Passenger Harness (000A422SD3F, £328) is the Silver series alternative. For 997 competition driver use under FIA 8853-2016, the Silver Porsche 997 6 Point GT (2100165) and Silver Enduro 997 GT3 (2100167) are the relevant options.

Does it work with a HANS device?
No. Only 6-point FIA harnesses work with a HANS device: not 4-point belts and not road harnesses. If you run or plan a HANS, look at the 6-point FIA belts in the range.

What does it mount to?
A harness needs proper anchor points: a harness bar, cage, or the car’s designed mounting points, plus a seat with the right slots. Tell us the car and seat and we will confirm the mounting plan before you order.
